How to take the CCNA Exam

What exam to take

When taking an industry exam, you need to know the exam code.

Ang exam code for the present CCNA curriculum is 200-301.

In the previous CCNA curriculums, merong option for a 2 exam path.

Sa present CCNA curriculum, you only need to pass yung 200-301 exam. Wala nang iba pang exam

options.

How much is the exam

At the time of this writing, yung CCNA 200-301 Exam costs $300.

Dollars? oo, dollars yan kasi nga International certification yan. Kung magkano yan sa

peso, convert mo na lang.

Depende sa ganda ng ekonomiya natin kung magkano yung magiging final exam cost natin in pesos :)

Where to take the exam

Previously, yung mga CCNA exams can only be taken sa mga Pearson Vue accredited exam centers.

Pero dahil sa pandemic, nagbigay ng bagong option  ang Cisco to take the exam sa bahay  mo lang

- yan yung online exam option.

To schedule the exam, punta ka sa - https://home.pearsonvue.com/cisco

Register ka dyan sa Pearson Vue website.

Pag nag-register ka, at hingan ka ng address - ilagay mo yung mailing address mo. Dahil sa registered address mo sa pearson vue ipapadala yung certificate mo from Cisco once you passed the CCNA exam, and other exams proctored by Pearson vue na ite-take mo in the future.

After registration, eto yung window na lalabas sayo:

Click mo lang yung View Exams dyan.

Tapos dito sa window na ito, lagay mo lang yung 200-301 dun sa Find an Exam: 

Sabiko nga, meron tayong 2 Exam options ngayon. Pwede kang pumunta dun sa exam

center ng Pearson vue mismo, or take the exam online sa bahay mo lang.

If you want to take the exam online at home

Click mo lang yung At a Home or Office, after clicking, magkakaroon ng Run pre-checkoption katulad nito sa baba:

Ano yung tinitignan dito sa pre-check?

Iche-check nyan kung yung internet speed mo can support yung needed na bandwidth para dun sa online exam.

At iche-check din nyan kung meron kang microphone and webcam dun sa computer mo.

Take note na yung online exam is proctored.

May (usually indiano) proctor na nakabantay sayo habang nage-exam ka. Kaya kailangan mo ng webcam.

If yung system mo passes yung system check - you can then proceed sa scheduling nung online exam mo.

If you want to take the exam in a Pearson Vue accredited exam center

Click mo lang yung At a local test center then click next:

 Pag nagi-schedule ka ng exam, may 2 options para sa exam language. Kung marunong kang mag-japanese, pwede mong i-check yan. hehe.

Sa next window, lalabas yung exam price. Take note na at the time of this writing yung CCNA exam fee is $255. It may go up in the near future. Kaya kung binabasa mo itong guide ko ngayon at iba na yung exam fee, ganyan talaga yan tumataas yung exam fee ni Cisco depende sa trip nila.

Sa susunod na window after nung pinapa-agree ka sa mga terms and conditions ng exam, lalabas yung mga possible Pearson vue exam center na malapit sayo.

Take note that the CCNA exam can be taken in any Pearson vue accredited exam center.

May mga pearson vue accredited exam centers worldwide. So yung makikita mo dyan sa window mo ay iba sakin depende sa location mo :)

After choosing yung exam center na malapit sayo, magkakaroon ka ng calendar window para malaman mo yung mga availlable exam schedules dun sa exam center na napili mo.

After choosing yung schedule, just go ahead and schedule and pay for the exam.

Syempre, when scheduling the exam online you need a credit card to pay.

Pag wala kang credit card, you can register for a virtual credit card kagaya ng offered ng Paymaya (https://www.maya.ph/pay-maya-card)

Or, kung hindi ka komportable gumamit ng credit card - you just need to call the contact number nung exam center na napili mo. You can schedule your exam through phone, and dun mo na lang babayaran ng cash yung exam sa testing site on the day of your exam.
